In most instances, I’m going to let the images I post speak for themselves. Obviously the inspiration for this piece is from Shepard Fairey’s iconic campaign poster for President Obama. My interpretation of this image illustrates my perception of a man who has been less than truthful, deceptive and shows a propensity towards Marxist ideology. The final motivation for me to produce this piece was President Obama’s recent ‘hot mic’ moment with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.

Welcome to One Man Difference

Thank you for visiting One Man Difference. The reason this site exists is to provide a platform for me to share my thoughts through graphic design. Often I find that important news items are glossed over and then buried in the avalanche of daily information we all receive. My desire is that some of these important items might have better longevity if they are accompanied with illustration. Many graphics I’ll be producing are my own simple take of how I perceive people and events (which will probably be illustrated through basic ‘memes’). Other illustrations I do will be more involved, using direct quotes and news article snippets. These are designed to clearly illustrate my perspective and hopefully will show facts in a new visual way.

Many of you might like to know exactly what perspective I am coming from. I am coming from the point-of-view of a concerned American citizen. I am deeply concerned about the attack on religion, specifically Christianity; the assault on our liberties through unwanted laws and regulations; the selective adherence to our Constitution; the unsustainable debt that our country is accumulating; and the intentional fracturing of our nation through special interest parties and groups. But who is ‘One Man’ some of you might press? I am a mid-thirties Caucasian male that is married to a ‘minority’ (though I prefer to think of her as a plain ‘ole American like myself). Like so many under this current administration I have lost my business and have accumulated a lot of debt to provide for my family in the year and half that I was out of work. I’ve chosen to sell my home to get out of debt and God has blessed me with a job. I persevered with support from my family and find myself wanting to tackle issues beyond my own personal ones. I want to put into picture what we all are feeling and experiencing. I want to illustrate the positive and the negative in order to show the contrast between the beautiful vs. ugly and right vs. wrong.

All of these graphics are copyrighted, but if anyone is interested in using them for their websites, please contact me. For obvious reason, I am electing to keep my identity to myself for protection against those with ill intent. Some people don’t know how to have healthy, constructive debate and use harassment and threats to silence individuals with view points other than their own. Currently, I am not selling any of the graphics I produce, but I am producing them as content for this site and for others that would like to request them. I look forward to our discussions and getting to know each one of you.
